Dr. Myriam Baranger-Ete
Dr. Myriam Baranger-Ete graduated from Maisons-Alfort Paris National Veterinary University in 1998.
She then studied one year in Canada, in the Equine hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Saint-Hyacinthe, University of Montreal. Here, she successfully completed her thesis with honours in equine locomotor pathology and diagnostic ultrasound in 1999 with Prof. J.M Denoix.
A move to Hong Kong in 1999 brought her back to Canine and Feline Medicine and she had been working in Small Animal Practice since then.
During this time, Dr. Baranger-Ete found the time to complete the Distance Education Sonology Course with the Post-Graduation Foundation of the University of Sydney in 2008 and completed a European Master of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine with the ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies); focusing on Internal Medicine and Imaging, studying with Utrecht University (the Netherlands).
During six years, Dr. Baranger-Ete has worked alongside a veterinary ultrasonographer, gaining valuable and extensive experience in small animal abdominal and cardiac ultrasound.
In 2013, she co-founded and launched Hong Kong Mobile Veterinary Ultrasound Service. Dr Myriam has, since then, been doing referral scans only, thrilled to be helping out all veterinarians in Hong Kong (and Asia in general) with their ultrasound needs.
Myriam also enjoys her time teaching other veterinarians ultrasound techniques in seminars and workshops in Asia, as well as in overseas courses or during “one-on-one in-clinic training” sessions.
In 2014, Dr Myriam also co-founded Hong Kong Veterinary Diagnostics (now rebranded as “ Asia Veterinary Diagnostics”), veterinary specialty laboratory serving Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
Hong Kong Mobile Ultrasound Service merged with Hong Kong Veterinary Diagnostics Centre in 2015 and Dr Myriam was appointed as the Head of this Diagnostics Division, managing Director of the Mobile Ultrasound Service and Veterinary Specialty Laboratory in 2016. She has been thrilled to actively develop Advanced Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory services throughout Asia since then and until last August 2018.
International Veterinary Services was founded in 2018 and today, Dr Myriam provides mobile ultrasound consultation, ultrasound education services, CE organization and veterinary business advice over all Asia, Australia/New Zealand and Europe; thrilled to continue developing Advanced Veterinary Diagnostics and Diagnostics Imaging through a even larger scope now, and to support Veterinarians colleagues all over the World with their Ultrasound needs, together with IVS, SVI and Soundiagnosis Academy’s wonderful International teams of dedicated Consultants/Instructors and Veterinary Specialists.
